A travel journal
to Bowmanville by PazMundo
Quote: A well-kept secret, Bowmanville, located on Lake Ontario, just 45 minutes east of Toronto City Centre, is worth the drive.
We close off the main street to traffic for four blocks. There are street vendors, jumping castle, contests, apple fritters made while you watch, a pancake breakfast, wood carving, entertainment, candy apples, face painting, and much more.

Historic Downtown Core
We close off the main street and highway to traffic and have a street party.
Attraction | "Tyrone Mill"
There is a museum on the second floor (not disabled accessable) with historic tools on display. They press their own apple cider the old-fashioned way and in the fall, you can watch the process. Their apple donuts are the best. They are made as you watch and can be covered in sugar if you wish. Eat them hot.
