They have a very friendly and helpful staff. The site manager, Charlie, gives a great orientation presentation. Walks on the beach at Grays Harbor are wonderful, looking for driftwood, observing harbor seals, etc.Quinault Rain Forest is a must see. Near Quinault Lake are nature walks of about a half mile. There are longer trails for the more hardy of you. The Lake Quinault Lodge is worth a visit if only to stop and have a great bowl of clam chowder in their restaurant with a beautiful lake view.Other things to do if you like to learn the history of a region is a trip to Aberdeen/Hoquiam. This is located adjacent to the Ocean Shores Municipal Golf Course. They have nice, clean units with one bedroom and a hide-a-bed in living room. Only one bath, but it separated the bedroom from the living room and could be entered from either. No maid service, but could get clean towels every day. Full kitchen adequately equipped. On-site amenities included an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, a pool table, laundry facilities, video rental, and central BBQ's.
