Glacier Bay Best of IgoUgo

Overview

Alaska
In Juneau we took the helicopter ride to the glaciers. The pilot landed on the glacier and we got to walk around. It was amazing.

Glacier Bay national park was great. The ship sailed into the bay, stopped, shut down the engines, and let us listen to the glaciers. You can hear them crack. When a piece of the glaciers brakes off into the water it sounds like thunder. But the best part of the trip for me was just being on the ship. Always something fun to do and you will never go hungry.

Quick Tips:

Take the helicopter flight to the glaciers when you are in Juneau. Sign up as soon as possible, because they fill up fast. It is expensive, but worth it. Eat on board the ship when you are in port -- you already paid for it.

Best Way To Get Around:

Ship, and feet.
