Lots to do. Very nice beach with lots of life guards for safety. On the boardwalk, you can rent family bikes, roller blades, etc. You can really walk to everything. There is an amusement park on the boardwalk and lots of shops, restuarants and bars. The boardwalk and main strip is very active and has lots of activites for the whole family to enjoy. Williamsburg is just a short drive away where you can enjoy historical attractions. We also drove to Parmonts Kings Domion just ouside of Ricmond.

Quick Tips:

Note: The timeshare resort uses a hotel-like air conditioner in the room and it is only in the living room; there is no air in the bedroom nor was there a window to open in the bedroom.

Best Way To Get Around:

You can walk to everything there in Virginia Beach, but if you want to venture to Williamsburg or Richmond, a car is a must.

Historic Williamsburg, Norfolk, Ricmond.

Best Things About the Resort:
Excellent location, right on the beach

Resort Experience:
All rooms are oceanview. It had a living room with a pull out sofa, 2 baths and 1 bedroom. There was not central air; they used an air unit like what you would find it a hotel, and it was only in the living room, so the bedroom got extremely hot.

400-acre family theme park features eight themed areas, over 50 rides, and seven roller coasters. It has a water park, shows, lots of thrill rides, and a kids area. Try HyperSonic XLC, it is the only compressed-air launch coaster in the United States. Unique acceleration, zero gravity airtime and free-fall sensations. Volcano was my favorite; it’s the only coaster in the world to shoot you straight out of a raging volcano! Suspended from a steel track, you’ll fly in and out of the rumbling mountain at speeds over 70 mph, then rocket 155 feet out of the top of the crater into a series of heart stopping inversions before a final 80-foot plummet. This is one of the world’s fastest suspended coaster! Also Anaconda was a great coaster, it has a 144 foot drop into the depths of the Anaconda. The Anaconda was the first looping coaster in the world that showcased an underwater tunnel. Grizzly is a wooden rollercoaster hiding away in the backwoods of Old Virginia. This park was only about an hours drive from Virginia Beach.

It has dozens of thrilling rides and attractions, eight main stage shows, a wide variety of authentic foods and shops, and a children’s area. It also has a Rain Guarantee which allows guests who experience wet weather during their visit to return the very next day.

They have beautiful landscaping, great food, and over all a very clean park. If you like rollercoasters, Alpengeist is a must -- it is the world's tallest, most twisted inverted roller coaster. Alpine "skiers" are launched on the most chilling ride of their lives as this snowbeast twists an innocent ski lift into six staggering inversions and a 170-foot drop. Also a favorite is Lochness Monster, an interlocking double-looping roller coaster gives you a peek at Scotland’s most infamous "monster." Reaching 13 stories into the air, this "creature" offers a spine-tingling, breathtaking ride at speeds up to 60 mph.

Some of the animal attractions are the world-famous Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales. Eagle Haven, a haven for injured eagles as part of its commitment to conservation and wildlife preservation. Jack Hanna's Wild Reserve takes you inside the wild world of endangered and exotic animals to learn about the importance of habitat preservation.
