Beaver Creek...My first time in the Mountains.

Probably the most exciting part about this trip was the ATV tour. We went to the concierge's desk at St. James Place and got info for just about everything! Our choice was to do the four wheeling tour. It was about an hour drive, but it was worth it. We went into an old mining town, and the guide dropped us off in the old mining area and we just cruised through the mountains on four wheelers. It was beautiful. We had the freedom to go where ever we wanted. There was a lot of wild life and old mining buildings. Definitely a must do...

Quick Tips:

Beaver Creek has a year round ice skating rink...it does not close until 10pm. They also have specialty shops throughout the village. A little expensive, but VERY unique. Also, Minturn and Vail are really close. Make sure you visit both of those areas as well. Minturn is a TINY town... My description would be "a little mountain town." They still have a tavern and an inn. There is a beautiful creek that runs along the edge of the town and into the mountain. Also a must see!

Best Way To Get Around:

I recommend a car...Without a car you would miss out on things like horseback riding, four wheeling and other cities like Vail and Minturn. If you decide not to have a car...Beaver Creek would be a wonderful spot to spend the whole week. You have all necessities within walking distance. And during peak months like ski season, they have shuttles in the area that you can take to Vail.

Ice Skating, Restaurants, Steak House, Avon, Minturn, and Vail.

Best Things About the Resort:
This resort is TRULY beautiful. The units are spotless, and decorated very well. The balconies overlook the town. Our unit was directly above a fountain, so we even had the sound of water. It is very safe. All guests have locked parking. The parking garage has a code to even get in. And to enter the building from the garage you must have your room key. I have been to a lot of timeshares but this truly was the best.

Resort Experience:
When we first pulled up I asked my boyfriend..."Is this really where we are staying?" I could not believe that I was going to have a whole week at such an amazing place. I did not want to come home! What I really liked was that this great experience was granted to me by RCI...Thanks RCI!!!
