The Jungfrau region is a part of Berner Oberland, with it's capital Interlaken. Interlaken is situated between two lakes, the Brienzersee and the Thunersee. When you have the time it is nice to bring a visit to Interlaken. South of Interlaken are the Lauterbrunnen valley and the Grindelwald valley. These two beautiful valleys with their snow capped famous mountains, like the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau and Breithorn, are great for walking/hiking. Lauterbrunnen is a beautiful small old village, Grindelwald is bigger with more accomodation and shopping facilities. If you like you can also go to my website and have a look: Switzerl...Read More

I think the Lauterbrunnen valley, with the village Lauterbrunnen, is the most beautiful valley of Switzerland, maybe of Europe (I don't know). It has beautiful mountains with ice-capped peaks (well known is the Breithorn, at the end of the valley) and 72 waterfalls. The two most famous waterfalls are the Trümmelbachfall and the Staubbachfall. When you enter the village Lauterbrunnen, the Staubbachfall is one of the first things you will see. When you like walking, this valley is like a paradise. There are many view-points in this valley: Mürren, Wengen/Kleine Scheidegg/Jungfraujoch, Schilthorn, Allmendhubel, etc. These places can also be reached by railway Jungfraubahnen) or cabl...Read More
