Overview

2002 was our 4th year in Freeport. We now go to relax and do nothing. We go to the beach a lot, or stay by the pool. We do go to the Straw Market a few times.

Quick Tips:

Be prepared for "Bahamian time". The Bahamians are by no means in a hurry!

Best Way To Get Around:

Best way to get around is by driving (we rent a car from the resort) or by taxi. You can take the public bus, but there is not a schedule that I have found; just when ever it comes by you go. Still, it's inexpensive.

Best Things Nearby:
Many beaches, resturants, golf course(s), mini golf, straw market, the international bazar, and a casino.

Best Things About the Resort:
Very relaxed and laid back, friendly staff. There is a complimentary guest breakfast every Sunday morning, and a complimentary Monday evening dinner party.

Resort Experience:
It's like a commercial... getaway from it all! Beautiful clear water; you can see your toes when you're neck deep in the ocean; beautiful white sand beaches; warm tropical breezes (we go at the end of March).

Dead Man's Reef at Paradise CoveBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Dead Mans Reef at Paradise Cove"

Nice beach, great snorkling. You can get to Paradise Cove by tours from most of the resorts. Since we usually rent a car from the resort, we drive; it's about a 30 min drive east of Freeport. Don't take the bus; it was VERY expensive.
