The red sand beaches are a must see. We took a horseback ride on the beach---in the rain! "Anne of Green Gables" the musical was great, as was the visit to the Green Gables Museum. But, I think my favorite adventure was a trip up to the Northwesternmost point of the island. We got there right before sunset and just sat there in perfect tranquility watching the vibrant colors splash across the sky. The North Cape lighthouse is there, as a well as a restaurant with great food.Quick Tips: There are several small villages throughout the island. We stayed in a delightful 2-bedroom cabin adjacent to the Inn and enjoyed breakfast in the Inn every morning.

Ann and Ed were the perfect hosts and the food was delicious! The location could not have been more perfect-right in Cavendish next to Green Gables. This is also a great central location if you are going to be exploring the whole island.
