Quote: Just some thoughts & pictures from our trip to Los Cabos
On this trip we went with Dave & Sherrie Bishop. Dave & Sherrie live above San Francisco in a town named Santa Rosa. They flew in from SFO on Alaskan Airlines & we can in from LAX on American Airlines. I didn't think this would cause any problems since our arrival times were only 20 minutes apart, but since the first time Esther was in Los Cabos they have built a new terminal. So when we came in I found out that Alaska Airline & American airlines don't share the same terminal. In fact the are about 1/4 mile apart! I had warned Dave about the "El Tiburons" or land sharks, the time share salespersons. Sure enough when we exited the luggage area there the were about 10 of the them circling around waiting for their victims. We tried to explain that we had to get to the other terminal as the lead us to their signup desks. After about 2 minutes we get a page for "Mr. Smith", the sharks in the other terminal had snared Dave & Sherrie and were calling to assure us where they were. After getting the best deal we could (we did get free taxis to out hotel, free taxis to the resort were the presentation was in Cabo San Lucas the next day, $100 food credit to be used at the resorts giving the presentation, a sunset cruise for all of us & bottles of tequila & kahula) they packed our luggage into a taxis & off we went to the other terminal to pick up Dave & Sherrie. Finally after about a 20 minute taxi ride we arrive at out resort (see pic).
After about 4 hours (for what was supposed to be a 90 minute presentation) we finally get all of our gifts and they take us back into downtown Cabos San Lucas. We do some sight seeing (see pic) and some shopping (see pic). Finally we decide we need lunch (they did feed us breakfast before the presentation but that was 5 hours ago). We head out the the Peublo Bonita Blanco since between us we had $200 food credit. Los Cabos in Sept. is hot, hot, hot & humid by the time we get the restaurant. We are all mightily thirsty & start out with some cold cervezas (see pic). We did get a great lunch (the bill came to just short of $100) and taking the bus home (taxis from Cabos San Lucas to San Jose Del Cabos cost $30) We spent about 60 pesos($6) for the day
