Best Way To Get Around:

Busaba Eathai

Restaurant

Buzzy, funky restaurant with a predominantly young crowd. They serve wonderful smoothies which are unmissable, and the best green curry in town.

Excellent, stylish decor. The warm and modern dark wood interior with communal tables: perfect for single travellers.

It can get crowded, and there is often a queue outside, but turnover is high, so join the line.

Activity

This is what the great court looks like in the day
Walk in through the main entrance at Great Russell Street to the glass covered Great Court and spend a moment marvelling at the wonderful view. It's even better at night, with the court empty of people and the night sky beyond the glass.

This majestic place can't be seen in just one day, so try taking a highlights audio tour, which will take you around the whole museum in a bit more than an hour. It costs $3.50 when I did it, and was enjoyable even if some of the artifacts were hard to find. After you're done, you can go back to revisit the spots that fascinated you most.

Great little bookstore with extremely knowlegeable staff. I came here looking for something to help me appreciate art better, and they gave me some great reccommendations. They stock a wide range of academic books, as well as some popular titles and a small DVD collection.

Check out their website here.
