I think anyone who visits Rio must step foot on Copacabana beach at least once. The mosaic pavement seems to stretch for miles, but the walk isn't all that bad. You get a great view of the Sugar Loaf Mountain from the beach too.Quick Tips: Be very cautious if you intend on taking a bag to the beach or one of the sidewalk cafes. All along the road Avenida Atlântica which runs parallel to Copacabana beach are indoor/outdoor restaurants and cafes. Include roads leading off Av Atlântica.

Many of them seem to be Italian. But there are many churrascarias (buffet style) and bars. So you wont have trouble finding something to suit you.
