New Hampshire Getaway

I like the small shops with varieties of items available for purchase such as local artist/specialty items. There is a section around the train depot in North Conway that is all within a comfortable walking distance to the Northern Part of the Village. Great area to walk before or after the Dinner Train Ride. If you want to visit the Discount Outlets, travel south and they are everywhere. Many parents visit with their children and go to Story Land which is a nice little amusement park and family getaway. There is also a waterpark at Attitash that is great for a family outing.

Quick Tips:

Keep in mind that traffic is backed up during the summer months going through North Conway. This seems to be a favorite area for vacations for families and shoppers.

Best Way To Get Around:

If you are a good navigator or don't mind taking the longer route, go the back roads. This way you won't sit in traffic. Stay away from the main routes in North Conway during the summer months if traveling past the shopping districts.

Best Things Nearby:
Just north of North Conway and all of its shopping. Just a short ride to Story Land, Attitash Water Park, and Mountains.

Best Things About the Resort:
If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, Cathedral Ledge is the place. It contains only 4 Buildings which means it is never too crowded like some other resorts. The Floor Plan is great and you have your own washing machine/dryer which is a must during vacations.

Resort Experience:
Cathedral Ledge is an older resort with a great floor plan. We stayed in a unit that had 2 floors plus a loft area (3rd Floor). If you want to have a lot of room in you accommodations, this is the place to stay! The first floor has large kitchen/dining area, bathroom, sunken living room with wood stove. There is a patio area for outdoor eating with your own grill. In one of the closets is the washer/dryer. Take the stairs to the second floor and there is a bedroom with twin beds and balcony, bathroom, and master bedroom. Master bedroom has a queen bed with its own bathroom and balcony. Bathroom holds a shower unit and a jacuzzi tub. Take the stairs to the third floor and you are in the loft that has a futon for extra sleeping or to use as a sitting area. The only fault I found with the units is the condition and age of the place. I am used to staying in flashy timeshares in the South and West. This is not that!

If you want a clean, roomy, quiet, conveinently located timeshare, consider staying here!

This is a busy place. The food is great with a large variety available. The menu ranges from salads to local specialty items. My husband enjoyed a pasta plate that included venison. He thought it was very good. I had one of the favorites: RIBS with the restaurant's homemade sauce. It was AWESOME--best melt in the mouth ribs I have had in awhile. The prices were a little high, but the cost is more than worth the meal.

The casual atmosphere of the place reminded me of being in a cabin. There is lots of wood, antler chandeliers, and tree limb chairs (awesome).

I highly recommend trying this restaurant for its variety and atmosphere.

Keep in mind there may be a wait if it is the busy time of the year in North Conway.
