Fun in Oceanside

Overview

Quote:
The San Diego zoo was fantastic. Disneyland is always fun. It was our first trip to Downtown Disney. The Oceanside pier was my favorite part of Oceanside. We attended a church service on Easter morning and the weather and view were absolutely gorgeous! It was so peaceful to sit and look out over the ocean. Oceanside has a neat farmers market with great vegetables and wonderful breads one day during the week. We visited the San Juan Capistrano Mission which was a highlight not only for my husband and I but also for our 11 year old daughter.Quick Tips: The beach was windy around our condo. It bothered me but not my daughter and husband. If the weather had been warmer, it probably would ...Read More

Best Things Nearby:We enjoyed the Oceanside harbor. There were a number of small shops and restaurants. The restaurants had outdoor seating across from the boats. My daughter and husband enjoyed the beach near the timeshare. It was too windy for me. The Oceanside pier had an Easter morning church service at the amphitheater which was really neat. The view was gorgeous and very peaceful. We enjoyed the farmers market that took place one week day while we were there. Best Things About the Resort:It was brand new when we were there. Each unit has a nice balcony with a barbeque grill and outdoor furniture. The kitchen was fully equipped with all appliances including a dishw...Read More

This was our first trip to the San Diego zoo in many years. We ended up purchasing the deluxe tour because of the AAA discount we received on it. Having the deluxe package gave us shuttle bus rides and the zoo tour by bus. The buses were double decker. We sat on the top which gave us a great view of everything. One thing we found out was that if you are sitting on the right side, you see a lot more of the animals. The zoo is so large an area that it was nice to have the bus ride and then the ability to walk back to see the things we missed and wanted to see again. The shows were good but not as high a caliber as Sea World (of course the ticket price was much less, too). The shows have a strong ...Read More
