Paris in August?


Everyone lists the obvious “must sees”, Sacre Coeur, the Louvre, blah, blah, blah. For info on these attractions read a guidebook. Yes, you should see these attractions but don’t let the need to see “everything” leave you without time to experience anything Parisian. My highlights are the Sunday artist's market in Montparnasse, the garden fountain at the Royal Palace, the inner courtyard of the Hotel Bristol (only if you're completely without a budget), and tea at the delightful Patisserie Laduree. OK, ok I'll admit, I'm also an enormous devotee of the Musee d'Orsay.Quick Tips: My biggest suggestion: Stay on the left bank.
