1. Trip to Todos Santos. We rented a jeep to get around the area and, as our son had just learned to play "Hotel California" on the guitar, this was a "must" trip. The scenery along the way was very dry and arid and you can take side trips to deserted beaches. Todos Santos itself, has lots of art galeries, but is very quiet (at least when we were there) Hotel Califronia is closed but there is store across the road selling souvenirs. 2. San Jose. A drive along the coast to San Jose, a quieter town with some nice restaurants and shops. 3. Water taxi to Lover's Beach. This is a nice quick boat trip. However we found the water really cool, despite the air temperature being around 90F. In fact,...Read More

Excellent. We had a one bedroom suite with kitchen, (though we didn't cook much it was ideal with a hungry teenager and for those days when you can't face another huge breakfast), and a great view over the pool and the sea from our balcony. The newer Rose is right next door, but we preferred where we were. The staff were helpful and friendly and the whole reosrt is spotless.

Best Things Nearby:Playa Medano with lots of restaurants within walking distance. Not too far to town as we had a car.Best Things About the Resort:Near town. Comfortable rooms with great views. Friendly staff. We liked the size as though large it is not too imposing, which we found the newer Rose next doorResort Experience:Everything about the resort is bright and sparkling clean. The pool was never too crowded when we were there and small kids tended to stay at one end. There are flamingoes in an enclosure at one end of the grounds and two pools with lots of fish (carp, I think). The food in the restaurants was good, though we tended to eat downtown at nigh...Read More

We were very surprised at the quality of the meals here - in fact it was the only place we visited twice. Our son is a very fussy eater and he wanted to go back. He is also a guitar player so the fact that Sammy Hagar is part owner was an added attraction. The Caborita was the best margharita I have tasted

Very good food but tables a bit close together. The night we were there it was really busy and, luckily we liked our neighbours as we got to know them over the evening.

This was a great dining experience as the staff make it fun with lots going on, especially for families. However we were disappointed in the cost of the meal. This is after all, a beach cafe and prices were for a fine restaurant. This was one of the very few places we were bothered by a timeshare salesman who wouldn't take no for an answer.

We also had breakfast here, which was much more reasonaable and it is a good place to watch people go by on the beach.

We had some trouble finding this as there is no sign on the highway, but it was well worth the trouble. Friends had recommended it for the sunset and it was spectacular. The food was very good and of ample quantity. Our son enjoyed feeding the cats which were around the place, though not everybody might enjoy this.
