Overview

Quote:
The safari was an interesting opportunity to see the animals. I also enjoyed the Kali River Rapids, the Boneyard playground, It's Tough to be a Bug performance and the tree of life.

Quick Tips:

There are not a lot of great places to eat at this park. I suggest you bring your own food or go to the Rain Forest Cafe in front(you need reservations.).

Best Way To Get Around:

The park has one main center area 'The Tree of Life'. When you go to the park remember the tree is in the middle and you will never get lost. You will walk and walk and walk.

This is a fairly expensive place to eat, but the atmosphere is worth the price. The theme of the restaurant is the rain forest, but you will see and hear all kinds of animals. They have a great gift shop to browse, too.

The Tree of Life

Story/Tip

Quote:
In the middle of the park is the Tree of Life. 145 feet in the air it is completely covered with 325 animal images. I don't think you ever see all the animals carved in the trunk as there is too many angles and you can't walk all the way around the tree. The tree is the symbolic connection of nature of life on Earth.

The Safari Village Trails snake around the tree and allow guests to get a close up to spot all the animals. Do bring binoculars because you can't see all the way to the top otherwise.

The special effects of this performance is worth the seeing. The guests enters in the Tree of Life Theater to see Flik and his buddies perform.

Sitting on these weird pews, you can see how the bugs are mild-mannered and quite cute. The funny performance lasts 20-25 minutes and ends with the stink bug bitten.

The movie seen is in 3-D and very popular. I suggest you accept their honorary bug member status and enjoy.

Just when you think you are safe to leave, the bugs have a little extra surpise in store for you. You will be....well I can't tell you and spoil it, but enjoy.

It is down right hilarious.

The safari ride is like a trip to Africa without the hassle of traveling. It is a landscaped area where animals are allowed to roam and you, their guest, are allowed to view. On my trip I was able to see giraffes, zebras, and hippos up close. It was awesome. The best part of the ride is it never is the same ride twice. I have taken the safari a dozen times and it is always different, as you see animals in different places and sometimes up close. The Disney folks have spiced it up by adding a little adventure to track down some poachers in the area. It was fun to ride along, but defintely fake. The bad thing about this ride is the line. Asia Animals - The Dragon

If you haven't seen a dragon, you need to check out the Asia section of the Animal Kingdom. They have a Komodo Dragon in residence and it is amazing.

I want to stress the animals in the park are awesome, but this is the largest lizard in the world. To make matters even more exciting, they are known to eat people in one bite.

So, if I have not scared you off, you need to check out the dragon. A look at those nails and that long tongue reminds you that iguanas are nice cousins.
