Action in Arlington

An August 2002 trip to Arlington by luuckythree

This town is a homerun of a destination. You can visit Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor, see a play at CATS, eat wonderful food or go to The Ballpark in Arlington to see and experience the Rangers play pro baseball.

I enjoy spending an evening at the ballpark, shopping their gift shops, eating whatever food I'm in the mood for and browsing their museum 'Legends of the Game'. If it's a particularly hot night I watch the game from TGIFriday's air conditioned window seat.

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

Arlington's convenient shuttle around the entertainment district enables visitors to altogether avoid having to drive!
Nice and cool rooms. Andrew loved the pool. Indoor and outdoor pools are connected. The best thing about this hotel is the free shuttle from the airport and trolley service to area sites like: Six Flags, The Ballpark in Arlington, Lone Star Horse Race Park, Arlington Convention Center and many restaurants and other venues.

Fun, college like atmosphere. Plan to meet fellow customers at street parties(on-site). Enjoy irish nachos and potato skins with your burger and beer. Live music, weekend entertainment and unforgetable St. Patrick's Day Celebrations. Located near university.

This is only fine dining I do without children. In the background is a classical guitarist playing. The winelist is varied, and courses are prepared by master chefs. I love the food. It's Italian French.

This is a non-profit youth theater that provides a season of 9 dynamic shows year round in a 400 seat theater. The shows range from Little Mermaid to The Three Little Pigs. The musicals are delightful and the theater is dark and cool.

Like all amusement parks there are themed attractions, costumed entertainers, opportunities for shopping, eating, and watching produced dance and musical theater. The newest rides are the most daring.
