Lobster Paradise

A July 2002 trip to Rockport by Denice

Quote: Samoset Resort was the timeshare and the surrounding area is certainly beautiful. The area has many things to do, which is fortunate as the resort has very little if you can't afford the overly expensive green fees.

Lobster Paradise

Overview

Quote:
Ocean nature is the predominant theme here and the tours are abundant and well done while being reasonably priced. Whale and puffin watching is fantastic and not to be missed. Going out lobster fishing is another excellent trip. The country side is scenic with lots of little stops to make.

Quick Tips:

If staying at Samoset, do not rely on the resort for any activities. They are not child friendly so make sure children have stuff of their own. Don't be in a hurry to go anywhere or do anything. The pace here is not in the fastlane, very good for relaxing.

Best Way To Get Around:

There is no public transportation. Driving is the best way to get around.
Quote:
Poor, cramped, not well maintained. Beautiful grounds and decor. Do not rely on resort to be helpful in having activities or planning tours. Staff unknowledgable about surrounding area.

Lighthouses, nature, winetasting, and the countryside.Best Things About the Resort:Great appearance.Resort Experience:It's a beautiful resort with an incredible view, but if you don't play golf or can't afford the ridiculously expensive green fees, they have very little else to do as far as activities. They are not child friendly in the least. The unit is small in comparison to all other timeshares we've been to, and the housekeeping staff is less than motivated. We would never return. Unit Type: 1 Bedroom Activities: Poor ...Read More
