Lush, green, vine-covered, berry-laden, wind-rustled, deep and interesting: these are the woods of River Bend Nature Works. The 15 acres are secluded and relaxing and yet accessible by a smooth, wide concrete path. Following a nature guide or venturing out on your own, discovering this quiet reserve is a treat. Different attractions diverge from the path: a pioneer garden and sod house, pioneer general store, Native American Wickiup, butterfly house and wetland habitat. The hike is an enchanting change of pace from city life.
