Big Trees State Park is only a 5 minute drive. The Park rangers have activities nearly every day for the family. There is an amazing array of excellent wineries for tasting excursions nearby. The historic town of Columbia is a short 35 minute ride. The quaint town of Murphy is just 10 minutes down the hill. The list goes on.
Quick Tips:
Bring golf clubs, tennis rackets, basketball, or racquet ball, although you can also rent these, as all are available at the resort. the resort provides an overview of nearby activites, be sure to attend and get the "inside scoop".Best Way To Get Around:
Because the town of Arnold is quite small, there is not a large transit system. Your best bet is to use a car to get around, however, you can fly into Sacramento or Oakland and then rent a car to drive the rest of the way.
