A Peaceful Getaway

Overview

I guess the most memorable moment for me was when I finished my scuba diving course. I was so happy to have finally gotten my license. The best thing to do is hang out at the deck, by the sea. You can go snorkelling whenever you want to, and if you go to turtle street, you have a good chance of seeing sea turtles. The beach staff that was there when I used to go there were really friendly so it was nice chatting to them.Quick Tips: If you need to be entertained 24/7 and if you like going on vacation and going to the gym, playing tennis etc, this isn't the place for you! Amanwana means "peaceful forest" and Moyo Island has been an Indonesian wildlife reserve since 1976. There are 20 luxury tents here so you can imagine how much privacy and peace you can get! As we walked through the village, we saw lots of cute puppies, as well as goats. Little shy kids came out to see us. The smell of goat droppings and cow droppings somehow always remind me of Bali or Indonesia (not in a bad way of course). We climbed the hill, which was not tough at all. I went with a man aged around 60+ and he seemed to be doing fine. It was humid though. I don't think there were any mosquitos in the jungle. I was so happy when we got to the waterfall, ...Read More
