Selamat Datang

Overview

Quote:
My family prefers the quiet and relaxed atmosphere up in Ubud, rather than in Kuta. I find that Kuta Beach has modernised tremendously these last few years, and is more suited for the tourists and young people of Bali. So Ubud is always a better choice for us. The best thing to do in Bali is relax. Get a massage or something. My memories always involve the local Balinese people. A lot of them are really friendly and nice, especially people at Aman resorts. It only takes about 10-15 minutes to drive to town, but it is located right next to some rice terraces, and it quiet. It also overlooks the Ayung river, where tourists go white water rafting; but it's still quiet. It has been designed like a Balinese village, and the villas are homely. There are only 30 of them so you tend to get a lot of privacy. I've stayed there quite a few times and my favourite villa was the one right at the end; a two storey suite with a swimming pool, overlooking the terraces. ...Read More
