Helicopter ride up onto the Glaciers, driving through the spectacular country, plane trip to Milford Sound, horse riding at Cape Farewell, laying on deserted beaches, Paragliding in Queenstown (but not the climb to the top of the mountain!) and eating the New Zealand way!!!Quick Tips: Take a variety of clothes no matter what time of year you go. The weather changes minute by minute! Get out of the cities and soak up the scenery. Book ahead for hostel accomodation, especially in the summer. Best Way To Get Around: We hired a car for the whole month we were there. With the strong pound we got really good rates and they charge less per day for long term hire. Paragliding

Attraction | "Paragliding with a man strapped to my back!"

When you have your breath back your pilot ties you to him and a parachute and you have to run headfirst down the steep mountain side where the wind catches your chute and lifts you way up into the sky. The run is tricky, it is not natural to lean forward whilst running down hill with what looks like a baby car seat banging the backs of your knees but worth it for the flight. Catching thermals takes you even higher ...Read More
