Scottsdale is a trendy suburb to Phonix.

Being in the middle of the desert it is very hot and the perfect place is near a swimming pool such as at the Radisson Spa and Resort.

There is a large university/Collage in the city and you can feel that the city is full of young people who seem to have money to spend.

The shopping is very good especially if you are looking for womens fashion. If you wish to play golf you also have several great options.

Otherwise Scottsdale also has many dining options from trendy sushi bars to Mexican food and fine dining.

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

The best way to get around is definately by car.

Hotel | "Radisson Resort & Spa Scottsdale"

I can really recommend the Radisson resort. The resort consists of a number of villas where you have the option to choose a normal villa, bi-level suite or a regency suite.

The two-level villas provide door to step parking and a private entrance. The suites are 980 square feet with an open loft bedroom plus a separate living area. The Villa also includes a bar.

I did not see a regency suite but was told that it included an indoor whirlpool tub and sauna.

All the villas have a nice patio/balcony.

We choose the normal villa which was more than fine for two people. We had a nice view over the McDowell Mountains and was very close to the large swimming pool as well. Furnishings and decor was Mediterranean in style and very nice. The room had highspeed internet access, voice messaging service, and a mini bar.

The bathroom facilities were very good and there was also a hairdryer. The most important feature of the hotel was the large swimming pool.

The crowd at the spa was very mixed, with young and older people plus families.

Radisson has meeting facilities and a good restaurant, which we didn't try.

Restaurant | "RA in Old Town Scottsdale"

This trendy sushi bar has a young crowd and loud modern music. The waitreses are young attractive girls in jeans. They are polite and very service minded.

The is a distinct party atmosphere and a bar that is part of the restaurant. The Sushi was fresh and the selection was large.

We ended up with a bill of $75 including a good $30 white wine. If you are in a party mood I can definitely recommend the restaurant.

RA seems to be a very popular place and one should try it if you are young or young at heart. The crowd was between 20-35.

If you are look trendy clothes you should try the fashion mall in Scottsdale.

The mall had a lot of the european brands such as D&G but also many interesting fashion brands we did not recognize.

We were especially very impressed with the very trendy selections of jeans and the fashion shops with ethnic inspiration.

Most of the shops had a price level that was mid to high. Jeans varied from about $50 to $150.
