A July 2002 trip
to Montreal by Constance
Quote: I wanted to escape someplace with an international feel and Montreal didn't disappoint me. The architecture and people made me feel a million miles from home even though I never had to cross an ocean.
Biking up Mont Royal. Check out the view and relax in the amazing park before speeding back down in to town.
Biking through the different section of town on the special bike trails and seeing the old architecture.
Bring comfortable walking shoes, cobblestones play havoc on your feet!
Hotel | "Hotel Le Germain"
The room was large with the most comfortable bedding imaginable. Everything is for sale here and I ordered 2 of the pillows after my first night's sleep.
An interesting feature in the room was the glass wall in the bedroom that looked into the shower allowing very fun views. If you're shy there is a louvered blind that can be closed for privacy.
The hotel is located near great shopping and restaurants and the conceirge was always helpful at making the perfect recommendations for us.
A contintental buffet breakfast is included each morning with fruit, breads, crepes, cereal, juices, etc.

Attraction | "Lachine Rapids Tours"
The captain knows just when to put the boat in reverse so hundreds of gallons of water come crashing over the bow and sides of the boat and land directly on you.
My mascara was running down my face after the first wave and totally off by the second!
It's scary, thrilling, wet, cold... and yet we all screamed and laughed for more.
Bring along an extra set of clothes for the obvious reasons. They provide lockers there for everything you want to keep dry.
The ride itself is only 30 minutes but you'll be talking about it for hours.
