The hotel consists of various buildings. The rooms are all similar with the same type of ocean view and the price category varies according to the distance from the reception and dining area. The local hangout; no luxury; good, down-to-earth value for money. Try it at lunch time as an alternative to the hotel. Walking distance from the hotel.

Carnival in Brazil is an experience not to be missed. You could combine a stay at the Praia do Forte and some participation in the festivities in Salvador and also in the local village. You should plan well in advance as hotels are fully booked.
