Overview

The Grand Palace with it's threatening guards and the strict dress code on the gate gave way to a mecca of peace, respect, worship and affluence, totally unseen in the island. The open worship and total respect for the idols and the temples which housed them was a total surprise and exhilarating experience from the bustling streets and pollution outside of the walls.

Quick Tips:

The ATM machines are a risk due to the high populations on the street so a safer bet is to convert all currency at the airport or stay in a place that will convert for you.

Best Way To Get Around:

The best and most exhillarating form of transport is the tuk tuk. The drivers become your best friend and will point out all the sights on the way to your destination.

Hotel | "Asia Bangkok"

The rooms were of 4 star standard with a gym, 2 pools and numerous restaurants to tempt you with Asian delights. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and en-suit. The mini bar was cheap and the cool drinks provided were a necessity after the heat of the open air.
