Overview

Quote:
We got the National Aquarium, right downtown at the Inner Harbor. The Inner Harbor Pavillions are great for dining or shopping. Oriole Park at Camden Yards is nearby. This is one of the country's nicest ball parks - even if the O's aren't playing, you can take a tour of the stadium. Even tho' we're all still mourning the retirement of Cal Ripken, we still support our O's. In the fall and winter, we got the Ravens playing at their separate stadium. (Respectfully written in Bawl-more-ese)Quick Tips: Phillips Harborplace is the place to eat at the Inner Harbor, if you're only going to be in town long enough for one meal. If you want to branch out, I'm going to be suggesting some other res...Read More

This is a place to dine in Baltimore if you don't want to eat crabs Maryland style. From downtown Baltimore, you can take the Light Rail going North, and get off at the Mount Washington stop. The restaurant is about a block away. You'll see it from the Light Rail parking lot. The restaurant offers an extensive menu, with entrees ranging from soft shell crabs, to ribs, burgers, some Continental cuisine, salads, great deserts, and a nice wine list. Try the veal chop with garlic mashed potatoes! You'll love the Maryland Crab soup, or the Cream of Crab soup (when available). I didn't say there would be no crabs here, just that you won't be sitting at a table cracking them and picking ...Read More

Phillips Harborplace

Restaurant | "Phillips Seafood Restaurant"

Quote:
Phillips Harborplace is one of the Inner Harbor's premier seafood restaurants. The menu varies through the year, but always includes crab cakes, steamed shrimp, clams, and other favorites. Seasonal specialties include soft shell crab in the summer and oysters in months that have an "R" in their name. During the summer, you can eat outside, and have a great view of the Inner Harbor, or in the air-conditioned dining room. In December, Phillips is beautifully decorated for the holidays, and is the perfect place for holiday parties. Phillips Harborplace is extremely popular, so be prepared to wait, if you try to get seated between the hours of 12:00 noon and 1:30 P.M. or 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. To...Read More

Harryman House

Restaurant

Quote:
The food at the Harryman House is consistently great! No matter how many times I eat there, the chef never seems to have an "off" night. Unlike some places, if you have a great entree once, and order the same thing the next time you go, it tastes just as good the second time as it did the first. This restaurant specializes in seafood, but also offers steaks, chops, salads, etc. If you're having lunch or dinner, try the cream of crab soup or wild mushroom bisque as a first course. The crab cake platter makes an excellent entree. Crab cakes contain a high ratio of crab-cake to filler, and are seasoned to perfection. The Harryman House also serves a very popular Sunday brunch.
