Bellevue

An April 2002 trip to Bellevue by MadMax

Bellevue

Overview

Quote:
Definately check out the Art Museum if you're looking for something that is definately not corporate sponsored.

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

Everything should be within easy walking distance. Plenty of free and covered (and patrolled) parking can be found at Bellevue Sqaure Mall, which is worth a visit in itself.

I am a recent convert to Chinese food after being fed too many bad takeaways as a child, and P.F. Chang's was the location of my ephiphany. All the food is served family style - a major plus for newcomers to Chinese who aren't sure what to have - with plenty of rice, by friendly staff in pleasant surroundings. A definate place to go back to.

Starbucks Coffee Co

Restaurant | "Starbucks Cafe"

Quote:
Starbucks is not traditionally known for its good food. Back home in the UK it used to sell sandwiches and muffins, and here in the US the range is even more limited - you're lucky if you get a decent cookie - so a Starbucks cafe, where you can order anything from a pizza to soup with waiter service, is something of a novelty. It soon becomes apparant that the cafe is Starbucks only in name; they might brew Starbucks coffee and sell an Indulgent Espresso Chocolate Cake but the food is no different to a hundred other places to eat. Give it a try, by all means, but expect nothing special.

Bellevue Art Museum

Attraction

Quote:
It's unlikely that you'll find work by any artist you will have heard of at the Bellevue Art Museum. Unlike the Seattle Art Museum, its Bellevue equivalent has the feeling of a place which takes risks. It is perhaps not as reliable as the SAM, but there's a lot more room for magic.
