One the most relaxing things I do on a regular basis is go to Animal Kingdom either in the morning when the park opens or later in the afternoon on a weekday or Sunday. It is very relaxing and you don't feel like you have to hurry.${QuickSuggestions} 1. Where lots of sunblock

2. Make reservations at Rain Forest Cafe in advance

3. Don't plan on rushing

4. Get Fast Passes for River Rapids and Kilimanjaro Safaris' right when you get to the park${BestWay} If you are in driving distance, just drive down and park at Animal Kingdom. If you are staying at a Disney Resort you can bus over.

If you have never been to a Rain Forest Cafe it is a must that you go. It is setup just like you are sitting in a rain forest with moving Gorillas, Butterfly's and other forest creatures and dim lighting, rainforest sounds and even thunderstorms. The food is good and offers a variety of unusual foods as well as some old favorites. I don't like the drinks, but feel free to try one if you want. Also try to ask for a seat in the back. If you don't have time to eat, go into the bar and sit for a quick Coke just to see the atmosphere. Make sure you make Priority Seating Reservations or you may not get in. Go through the back entrance to go back into the park and walk through some more fake wildlife....Read More

There are many great items in the store by the Kilimanjaro Safaris ride. If you want wildlife print hair pieces or African inspired jewelry they have some great stuff. Many times there is a gentleman from Kenya doing wood carving right out front. My favorite buys were the African Sauces and spices from CapeTown (very good) and the wood carved bowls and candle sticks. You can also get many other items like t-shirts and guide books.

All of the attractions here are great. I really enjoy the Kali River Rapids on a really hot day when you can get soaked and dry off quickly. The safari is also good, but try to go before 11 am or after 3 pm if it is a hot day. The animals will go to cool and shady ground in the middle of the day. My favorite show of all time is the Lion King Show, which is in Camp Minnie Mickey and is soon to be replaced by a new and exciting show...make sure you see it before it leaves if you can.
