It's my home... so for me, just walking around is very interesting and exciting. Unlike other cities, Hong Kong is more and more beautiful at night time. You still can find something to eat at 12 midnight! Most of the shops are closed at 10pm. But if you want to walk around, somehow it looks like daytime, because there are many lights all around. Eating, of course, is the most enjoyable experience. You can find any food from any places around the world. And usually, it's cheaper than elsewhere!

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

We have MTR (underground), Ferries, Trams (only in Hong Kong Island), Buses and Taxis. Except taxis, you could buy an Octopus card, which gives you access to all public transport. You could buy it in any MTR station, you pay HK for deposit, and you can add some money to this card. Then the fare will be deducted from this card automatically. It's very convenient. When you return this card, the deposit will be returned to you.

Baked Rice with Pork Chop
This is the café I used to visit in Causeway Bay, which is famous for noodles in soup and baked rice. My favourites are the noodles in seafood soup, which taste like laksas. And if you love rice more than noodles, then please go for its baked rice; there are over 20 choices for you, so figure out if you love seafood, pork, beef, or even lamb. It's kind of fusion food more than just Asian cuisine. If you still can eat something else, please try its desserts. Its warm chocolate pudding is definitely one of my favourites.

Though it's casual, it has a great environment for you to share your happiness with family and friends.

Attraction

Hong Kong Park is one of the parks which is located in the city centre of Hong Kong. You can't imagine how expensive it is to build such a big park. It's very normal to go to a national park in United States, Canada or United Kingdom. But in Hong Kong, the price of the land is so expensive that, a park costs over billions to build it.

Inside this park, there are few places that are worth going.

1. Greenhouse: You could discover different plants in different climatic zones, like tropical rain forest, dessert, etc. It's good for children to take notes about the plants on their little note book. 2. A net with bird: It's another good place for children... the children can see many birds above their heads! 3. Tea Museum: If you like Chinese culture, then it's definitely a great place to visit. Different kinds of teapots are illustrated in this museum. You can have a deeper understanding in tea culture and how people make tea, and how they make a cup of tea. There are many different methods in different parts of China. 4. There is a lake in the park. Some fish and ducks are relaxing around. Spend an afternoon here is very nice, it's hard to breathe in such fresh air in the city centre of Hong Kong.

The main route of Star ferry comes between Tsim Sha Tsui and Central (both are the main tourist areas in Kowloon and Hong Kong Island). It's cheap (only costs HK$2.2 for single journey), and yet, it's the most unique public transport in Hong Kong.

In the morning, you could travel by the ferry, enjoy the wind and breathe in the air with the smell of the sea. (Sometimes, it's not good to breathe in the polluted air of Victoria Harbour). In the evening, you could see the beautiful sunset in the ferry. What a romantic experience it is.

Near the Star Ferry Port of Central, you could find a series of famous boutiques. Any brand you can think of, can be found in Central.

On the other side of the harbour, which is Tsim Sha Tsui, you could have easy access to The Space Museum, the Cultural Centre and the Arts Museum. Also, there are many good small restaurants all around Tsim Sha Tsui.

If you come to visit Hong Kong, it's a must to go on a ferry.

It's very hard to find some fresh seafood in United Kingdom. In Hong Kong, most of the seafood is very fresh in the food market or in restaurants. When you enter the restaurant, you must be able to see the fish, prawns, lobsters are swimming around the pool. = ) And when you order seafood, let's say, a lobster, the waiter would ask a person to choose one for you, then the waiter would come out with the lobster in the bag and ask you whether the lobster is big enough. You have to see whether it's 'fresh'! Supposingly, you can see it 'jumping' up and down. Is it excited?

The seafood is usually cooked in two ways, western and chinese. In Chinese way, the seafood is steamed above hot water. When it's done, the cook will put some soy sauce, spring onions and ginger. By this method, you can experience the real taste of the seafood. In western way, like the lobster, it's cooked with either cheese or butter, it has a stronger taste, but at the same time, it may cover the real taste of the seafood.

Seafood in Hong Kong is worth trying, as Hong Kong is an island which can have easy access to fresh seafood. In Golden Coast near Tuen Mun, there is a food market that you can choose your own favourite seafood, then you can ask the chef to cook for you in the way you like. Your dish is so unique!
