While in Victoria we experienced High Tea at The Butchart Gardens. We strolled around beautifully crafted Japenese, Italian, rose, and other amazing gardens. You can then enjoy your tea in the greenhouse-style restaurant. Quite a jolly-good time, chap! At the Portland Brewers Fest we enjoyed some of the best beer the Northwest has to offer. We also went to the Bridgeport Brewing Co. for happy hour. At Tugboats Brewpub we listened to jazz while sipping on tasty suds. The drive up to Whistler from Vancouver was spectacular. We hung out in the outdoor beer garden at Pyramid Ale house before the Seattle Mariners game. There's a farmers/craft market every saturday in Portland. For a great...Read More

We were in Tuscany last year and this reminded us of the food we had there. It's owned by a husband & wife from Italy. They're usually running around the whole night. They use fresh local fish to create some great Italian food. The pasta was also great. After dinner mosey up to the bar and have a $6 martini. Yes that's in Canadian dollars! You can't beat that!

A landmark! Great and creative Northwest cuisine. Great atmosphere! Downstairs is a bit more formal and upstairs is nice and casual. Get in early to eat on the deck and watch an amazing sunset over the surrounding mountains.

If you like oysters, you have to go here! It's one of those local landmarks that's been around since 1907. We ate at the bar and had 4 different types of oysters. It seemed like half the menu had to do with oysters. Good beer selection also.

This was a great festival. It also had wine and scotch to taste. Everyone I talked to was enthusiatic about the brewing scene in the northwest. While in Portland you visit Bridgeport Brewing Co., Rogue Alehouse, McMenamins, Widmer Brewing Co., and Tugboats. I highly reccommend any festival that happens throughout the year in the area.
