A July 1995 trip to Baraboo by Valentyn

Part 2 of a two-week road trip: The Circus World Museum in Wisconsin

  • 2 reviews
We had two weeks and a specific amount of money to spend, and we chose a few things we wanted to hit from guide books, then made up the rest as we drove. Some touristy things, some off the beaten path things. The Circus World Museum was one of the things we chose to definitely hit...

Quick Tips:

Bring sunscreen, and be prepared to walk comfortably. The majority of the displays are outdoors or in non-air conditioned structures.

Attraction

We spent an entire day here. The static displays are incredible, including massive efforts to find and restore circus wagons and carousel horses over 100 years old. There was no shortage of live entertainment, either -- jugglers, magicians, a parade, high wire acts, basically, a small circus in itself. Very conveniently located in Baraboo, so hotels are available.
