An April 2002 trip to Newport by Rossey
Quote: My Mother, 2 Aunts, Cousin,Girlfriend and I went to Newport for a long weekend. This was part of a 75th birthday gift to my mother for her 75th birday. She wanted to see the mansions and the Tennis Hall of Fame. The resort was great. The town is wonderful.

Story/Tip
The visitors center located in the center of town is a wealth of information. It's well worth stopping in before you plan your activities.
If your planning on dining out...buy the dining coupon book. It's like a mini "entertainment book". It cost $24 and has buy one get on free coupons for about 50 local reataurants.
The resort was ideally located within walking distance of all the major "in town" activities. Our unit had 2 nice size bedrooms, a view of the harbor and 2 patios. This kitchen was "mini", but sufficient for our needs. We also enjoyed the fireplace.
This was my second visit to Newport...I would go back again!
