When I think of Cabo, my first thought is of the topography of that part of Mexico. When we got off the plane, I was stunned to see beautiful rugged terrain.
The timeshare was wonderful, with one disappointment. It is advertised as having a lovely, safe beach for swimming. And it did, until Hurricane Juliet washed it away three weeks before our trip. So, we did not do any swimming or laying on the beach. This turned out fine since the minute you step on the beach you are bombarded by vendors selling everything from jewelry to marijuana.
The pool was wonderful, great happy hour and service. Every time I approached a door, someone was always there to open it for me.
Other memorable moments include a sunset "booze cruise", Spa at the Pueblo Bonito Rose (sister resort next door- great massages!), jet skiing, and a trip to lover's beach. Lover's beach is perfect for snorkeling and sunbathing. Catch a water taxi to and from the beach at the resort. Great snorkeling too.
The most memorable day was spent four wheeling on beach dunes. This was one of the most fun things we have ever done on vacation.
Quick Tips:
When you get to the airport, there will be people telling you that there resort has a welcome packet for you. These are all timeshare sales people. Your "REAL" transporation drivers will be outside of the terminal past these folks. You really need to keep saying no until you get to your driver or you may miss your ride. If you want to see timeshares, ask the concierge at your resort.
Best Way To Get Around:
We arranged for transportation to and from the airport through the resort. It was well worth it. During our stay, we primarily walked, unless it was late at night in which case we took taxi's. They are reliable and fairly cheap.
