Lonavala gives the impression that it is a beautiful hill station.No one mentioned that it is cut in two from Khandala to Lonavala by the Mumbai-Pune expressway.Most of the hotels windows and gardens are dominated by the flyovers,hence there is constant noise and pollution with non stop traffic day and night.This is never mentioned in any write up on this area.It is hell and not a pleasurable place to visit.The two most quiet places to stay out on the Karla road are the MTDC and Neels Resort,the latter has quiet grounds and terraces,basic,but very,very obliging owners who cannot do enough for you,like a home from home.A haven from the noise and pollution.They arranged food and cars and any needs.Patrick,England.March 2009
