My wife researched intently before we chose just the right destination to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, March 15, 2010 and she nailed it. Royal Caribbean’s GM, Iain McCormack and staff blew our socks off. Traveling with a diamond ring to surprise my wife with during the trip, I asked Mr. McCormack to secure the ring for me upon arrival while he and his staff planned how they might assist me with the presentation. Four nights into our stay we were sitting for our private Anniversary dinner with our wonderful server, Narnia, enjoying wine and appetizers. My wife was puzzled and thought they must have the wrong table when Hughill, the resorts lead butler approached us announcing “special delivery for my lady". It was the ring placed in a bed of roses on a silver platter. The entire evening was captured for us on film by the resorts premier photographer, our new friend Karim. We will never forget how special they all made us feel and have booked a return visit for the same time next year so that we may thank them all again in person. The private island was a great place to go for some quiet sun bathing on the beach or at poolside. We enjoyed the island pool the most as that is where we met the most interesting people and the swim up bar and lunch buffet made it very easy to lose the whole day out there. We were struck by the number of people we spoke to that would tell us they were on one of many return visits to that particular resort because of its charm and attention to detail. The service at the many restaurants and bars was over the top and we loved having the option to mix it up and hop a courtesy shuttle to the neighboring Sandals resorts in the area. They even posted the menus of all the restaurants at these other resorts. We know it could be tough to top this vacation so we booked for a longer stay and plan to bring several other couples with us next year to share many lazy days at the private island pool and swim up bar followed by endless fine dining and entertainment. My wife and I keep looking at the many wonderful photos the resort staff took of us during our stay and can’t believe what a perfect vacation we had there. We just can’t thank the wonderful people who staff Sandals Royal Caribbean enough. See you next year.
