A Great Journal

Callen60 has written an awe inspiring journal on his recent trip to the Candian Rockies (Banff to be exact): http://www.igougo.com/journal-j72263-Banff-Winter_in_Canadas_Rockies.html#ReviewID:1358616.

I feel compelled to publicly recognize his wonderful writing and great photos that really bring his travel experiences to life . . . and encourage others to read about his fantastic adventure.

Great job!!

YIKES - I misspelled "Canadian".

Can't we get an "edit feature" here like we had with the old forum platform?

Thanks for highlighting this journal and your comment about the editing of forum posts. I think we can definitely add that feature, but one question I'd like to get your and others' opinions on is whether we should have some indication that a post has been edited. Another approach would be to only allow editing for, say, 15 minutes after a something is originally posted.

Your thoughts?

Thanks,
Tyler

Both good ideas. However if a post is edited before any further posts are added, I'm not so bothered about knowing that it was edited. But if more things were added by other users, I think it's important for readers to know that the new posts might no longer make sense because the original was amended.

Thanks for the question Tyler. I like being able to edit as appropriate/necessary without the time restriction on other sites. I also think like other sites, there should be some reference to the edit if it is done.

Anything would be appreciated that would allow us to edit our own posts.

I'd hoped I wouldn't be the one inaugurating this particular policy (is that the right word?) on the new Travel Forums, but here goes... bump!

Ok, sorry that took a little while, but based on our research and your feedback, sounds like combining the editing with a time stamp is the way to go. We'll get to work on this.

Thanks!
Tyler
