Accomodation in India

Hi guys,
As the saying goes, I'm an ABCD, American Born Confused Desi :)
I'm planning my second trip to India and would like to ask for recommendations on the places I've decided to stay at.
1) Delhi: Caravan Homestay: http://delhicaravan.com/
2) Agra: Howard Park: http://www.parkplaza.com/agrain/
3) Jaipur: Thaltara http://www.thaltara.com/
Please let me know if these are good places and would suit a single girl. I've tried a couple of homestays with a hotel in between to take a break in Agra. I'm really interested in being with an Indian Family. The choice was also because of my pet dog I'll be taking along (These locations allow pets).
I've contacted them and they seem to be friendly and have good reviews on tripadvisor too. Also, how much deposit is required to block your room in India?

You're taking a dog half-way round the world on holiday?
Don't you think he/she might find it a lot less stressful to stay at home?

Wouldn't your poor dog have to go into quarantine on its return to where you live in Texas? Not to mention the distress of flying all that way enclosed in the hold of the plane!

Hey Gary, you can SO spot we're both British!
Apparently when the early Russian and US space prgrammes sent a dog and a monkey into space our parents' generation were outraged at the animal cruelty more than they were impressed by the scientific advances. That's when you really see the difference between us Brits and everyone else!

Thanks for all your concern but Billy is ok. He did looked weary for a day but he's back to his fighting for ball self :) (I'm already in India)
I'm actually joining a project in Sri Lanka for 3 years and couldn't have left him behind in the states. He is taking well to the weather in Delhi (not much of a difference although).
