suggest a popular tourist destination for maybe 2 hours

we are traveling to Quebec and will stop in Montreal arriving about 2-3pm for the night. Any suggestions as to what to do in a couple of hours before having a dinner?

I just checked with my wife (a former Montreal resident) and she suggests taking a walk through Old Montreal. Here are the reviews on IgoUgo.
