Land border crossing PANAMA/COLUMBIA

Hi
I would like to cross the land border between Panama and Columbia with my 4x4 and all the sources are telling me, that it is inpossible and in the meantime my guidebook says there is a crossing in PUERTO OBALDIA.
Did anybody did that, have been there?? Appreciate every help.
