Now is the perfect time to go to Mexico on a budget. September is the rainy season so everything is generally cheaper. It's still nice and hot though. If you can, I would book a last minute all inclusive rather than a condo. Last minute deals are cheap, the last one I did was $600 for a week in Puerto Vallarta including airfare, accommodations, meals & alcohol. I'm not trying to dissuade you from a time share if that's what you're really looking for but if cost is a major factor I would recommend booking the time off and the week prior trying to find the cheapest deal. It's worked for me in the past.
