My girlfriends and I are traveling to Chicago before Summer is over and we are looking for a fun, hip, hotel that is in a safe location and close to everything. We don't want to have the added expense of a rental car. We are traveling on a moderate budget.

I highly recommend the Avenue Hotel in Downtown Chicago. The hotel was previously a Radisson Hotel and Suites and has been updated beautifully. My girlfriends and I spent a girls weekend there and were impressed. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave us great suggestions on where to go and what to do, since it was the first time for most of us. The beds are to die for. Close to shopping and restaurants and bars. I don't recommend a rental car you really won't need it. Maybe a taxi here or there. Have a great time in Chicago, I recommend checking out travel websites for current deals at the Avenue Hotel - it's a great time to travel.
