We are going to Florida in July ... I am 5 foot 7 ish and weigh 300lbs .. Now I had no trouble on any Disney rides even the kids rides so I was able to enjoy my trip with my 5 year old daughter... I am wondering if Universal and Isle of Adventure are the same as Disney at being BIG PEOPLE FRIENDLY (lol)

Sorry, I just came across your question, and while I realize my response is too late for your trip, hopefully, it can be helpful to others with the same issue. You and I happen to be close to the same size, and I had a BLAST at Universal studios. The only ride you might have an issue with is The Mummy coaster, but they have a test seat in front you can try. I fit, so I imagine you might, too.
The rides are friendly for people of most sizes, and I very much enjoyed myself, and I hope you did, too!
My father in law is about your size and he has never had any trouble with the rides at Universal Studios.
He did have trouble with Space Mountain in Disney.
