Traveling to Idaho

As an avid traveler, I have explored my bit of the world and am planning to visit Egypt, Cambodia and NZ in near future. However, at the moment, I am planning a quick river rafting excursion to the Hells Canyon in Idaho. I heard Snake River and Salmon River are fabulous to enjoy water sporting activities in the region. Any advice on choice of tours and additional activities or possibilities is very much welcome.
