I have recently been to Jamaica and staid at Jackie's on the Reef in Negril. All I can say is: I LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!
It is the most amazing place I know (and I traveled a lot). It may not be a family destination, but for couples who seek the quiet, of the beaten path, or single ladies traveling it is the place to go.
Your day starts with Yoga on the veranda, and then you could spend the day soaking in the small saltwater pool, louching on a beachchair with a book, and maybe get a massage, facial, or manicure... whatever you feel like. At night, you can see the clearest stars ever...
The food is awesome - so delicious, yet healthy - and very fresh - a lot of it comes from the own garden.
As for the rooms, there are very spacious, super clean and have a nice bathroom attached.
The owner, Jackie Lewis, is a very carismatic lady - she told me all how she built this place from rocks on the cliff and made her dream come true.
Jackie's is an almost holistic place - your room rates include Yoga, there are natural soaps and organic oils used for the massages (which you can get right in a little hut with the waves in the back) and the food is mainly organic.
I totally love the place and suggest you give it a try, too!
