Pucón Nightlife

This summer (Jan-Feb in Chile)the best places to go dancing were Kamikaze and La Cueva del Chivato, they are not big places, but now are the most popular. For Kamikaze the entrance cost around US$10 in high season and for La CUeva del Chivato it costs around US$14, both with a drink included, but in low season you can enter for a small fee around US$6 or even for free depending on the day. The kind of music is latin (not only salsa and that kind, also latin rock and pop)and the top music of the moment in the radios around the world like the last hits of Maddona or Robbie Williams, techno here is not popular at all. Inside the drinks are not expensive, a soft drink for US$2, a beer for the same, a 6 years scotch for US$6, and usually they have a special promotion for example 2x1 beer or 2x1 "combinado". "Combinado is the most popular drink in Chile and it have Pisco (Chilean pisco, that is really different to the peruvian pisco) and coke or sprite, the one with coke is called "Piscola" and the one with sprite is called "Combinado blanco". ABout pubs, of all that i know the only one where I really had a good time was El Bar del Pelao in Av. O´Higgins 624, it is small, calid ambient (almost everything there is made with wood) ,usually the entrance fee is around US$6 on weekend, but the other days usually the entrance is free. For dinner, I don´t know too many places, because I have dinner in the Hotel Pucón where I always stay, the food there is really good and you have a buffet; the restaurants I know are "Il Postino" in the corner of O´Higgins with Fresia and is an italian reastaurant; "La Esquina de España" in Fresia 223 where they offer spanish food. One thing to consider is the the high season is in summer(jan-feb), in July when the ski season coincide with the school and university break, and in the middle of september because in that date are the "Fiestas Patrias"that is the independence day celebrarion and the Army day that is also holiday. Another thing is that in Pucón there are not places to go that are traditionally good, every year some places close and the new one becomes the most popular for the season, so maybe all the places on this list in 1 year are not going to be the best ones.
