Blue Moon

The happening tea dance that occurs daily at the Blue Moon draws crowds from all over town, with a line stretching down the front stairs and along the sidewalk. The bar inside this restaurant is actually quite small, but a patio area out back handles the large crowds and provides both sunny and shaded areas to converse with new friends. For a New Yorker who is used to a very different bar scene, these Washingtonians and Philadelphians seem somewhat conservative and formal when flirting, but then again it's cute to see them blush.
