Before the casinos opened just a short distance away in Biloxi, the dog track was the place to go for a great night out and to bet a few bucks. Now is a different story.
The crowds have gone on to Biloxi but the dogs still race every night at 7:30 p.m. except Sunday with matinees at 1 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The great thing about the dog track is admission to the grandstand is free and with $2 bets you can have a great night of fun for less than $20.
Admission to the clubhouse is $2.50 and there is also a restaurant with pretty good food.
