Players Island Riverboat Casino

Description

This is the only game in town for several hours of driving, which explains why it is always booming. The floors are crowded and very smokey. The slots are coin vacuum cleaners. The slots also don't take coins, you must get slugs for everything, even the nickel and quarter machines. They do, however, take bills so you don't have to wait in line for rolls of slugs.

I was startled that the gaming tables began at $10. There were no low end tables, but we were there on a weekend day.

The clientale is older, well dressed, and obviously can afford to come and play. The parking lot revealed one out of state car to every 10 with Illnois or Kentucky tags.

The view from the decks was beautiful, but the availability to sit out and enjoy the view was limited.

After Atlantic City and Las Vegas, this was a huge disappointment. Still, I would go again, if I were spending a week in this area, and it rained EVERY DAY!
